About InkStu
Our Mission
InkStu is a privacy-first AI image studio built with one core belief: your photos belong to you. Every tool we ship — ID photo generator, AI avatar maker, image compressor, format converter — runs entirely inside your browser using modern web standards (Canvas, WebAssembly, JavaScript). Your images are processed on your own device, then handed straight back to you. They are never uploaded to our servers, never stored on our infrastructure, and never used to train any model.
What We Build
InkStu started as a side project to solve a real pain point: getting a compliant passport or visa photo used to mean paying a photo booth, uploading sensitive headshots to random websites, or wrestling with Photoshop. We rebuilt the experience from the ground up around three principles:
- Zero upload. Image bytes never leave your browser. Open DevTools and watch the network tab — there are zero outbound image requests.
- Truly free. No sign-up wall, no watermarks on the free tier, no trial countdown. Optional Pro membership unlocks HD output and AI-generated features.
- Global standards. We support 500+ ID photo specifications across countries, visas, exams and professional certifications.
The Team
InkStu is maintained by a small distributed team of engineers and designers who have shipped image, AI and privacy products at scale. We believe the next generation of consumer software will live in the browser, with servers handling only coordination, secrets and payments — never raw user content.
Our Privacy Stance
We use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand which tools are popular and where users get stuck. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any cross-site tracker. We do not sell or share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any in the first place.
