How to Use the Image Watermark Tool
Image watermarking overlays text or graphics onto an image — commonly used for copyright protection, brand promotion, and anti-piracy. InkStu's watermark tool runs entirely in your browser, so your images are never uploaded and your privacy is protected. This tool supports text watermarks with customizable content, font size, font color, opacity, and position (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right, center, tiled, etc.) to meet different watermarking needs. Whether you're a photographer signing your work, an e-commerce seller branding product images, a content creator marking copyright, or a company adding a logo text to promotional graphics, this tool handles it quickly. No registration or software install — open the page and watermark on your phone or desktop. For batch watermarking, use the Batch Processing tool to apply a uniform watermark to dozens of images at once. Downloaded images carry no extra marks, and the original image is never modified.
Image Watermark FAQ
Can I add an image (logo) watermark?
The current version focuses on text watermarks. For a logo watermark, design your logo as a text identifier and add it. Upcoming versions will support uploading PNG images as watermarks — stay tuned.
Can I customize font and color?
Yes. You can customize the watermark text content, font size, font color (color picker), and opacity (0-100%). Choose a high-contrast color based on the image background to keep the watermark clearly visible.
Can I customize the watermark position?
Yes. Multiple preset positions are supported: top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right, center, and tiled mode (watermark evenly distributed across the image) — ideal for copyright protection.
Can I watermark multiple images at once?
This tool processes one image at a time. For batch watermarking (e.g., applying a uniform shop watermark to a batch of product images), use the Batch Processing tool to watermark dozens of images and download as a package.
Does watermarking reduce image quality?
Watermarking only overlays a text layer without compressing the original. However, exporting as JPG applies slight compression — set quality to 95+ to maximize retention. For lossless output, export as PNG.
Are images uploaded to a server?
No. All watermark processing happens locally in your browser. Your image data never leaves your device, ensuring full privacy.
