Which ID photo specs are supported?
Hundreds of ID photo specs are built in, covering China 1-inch/2-inch/small 1-inch/small 2-inch, passport, visas (US DS-160, Japan, Korea, Schengen, etc.), ID card, social security card, driver license, teacher certificate, civil service exam, and more. After selecting a spec, the system auto-crops to the official size and sets the background color to ensure compliance. Custom sizes can also be entered manually.
Do I need to upload an original photo? Any requirements?
Yes, upload a clear front-facing photo. We recommend an original taken in natural light, with the face centered, a natural expression, clearly visible features, and no hat or dark sunglasses. JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported; resolution should be at least 600×800 px for clarity. Avoid over-beautified or heavily filtered photos to prevent official review rejection.
Is my data safe? Will photos be stored?
Yes. Processing is split into two parts: core operations like background matting, auto-cropping, and beautify run locally in your browser — images are not uploaded. AI HD enhancement uploads to the cloud for processing but deletes the data immediately afterward, with no long-term storage and no use for model training. You can use it with full privacy assurance.
How does pricing work?
The electronic ID photo (standard-size download) is completely free with no usage limits. AI HD enhancement is paid: Standard restore is 30 credits/time, HD 4x is 50 credits/time. New users get free credits on signup to try HD enhancement. The print-layout download is also free. Credits can be earned via check-ins, sharing, or purchase.
Can I print it out for use?
Yes. Downloading the "Print Layout" generates an A4 or 6-inch photo-paper layout (PDF/image) with multiple ID photos on a single sheet. Take it to a photo shop for printing or use a home photo printer, then cut out the photos. The layout is precisely set to official sizes, so printed photos meet spec and can be submitted directly.
Are the generated ID photos compliant? Will they pass review?
This tool generates ID photos to official specs (size, background color, file size, DPI), with spec data sourced from official ID photo standards of various countries. However, specific review rules may vary slightly by issuing authority — we recommend checking against the authority's official requirements after generation. If rejected, adjust the background color (e.g., white to blue) or re-upload a more standard photo and regenerate.
